Welcome to Little Cupcakes Daycare, I have prepared this letter to familiarize you with myself and my thoughts about caring for your child /children in my home. I firmly believe that a quality family daycare home is the very best environment that any child can receive while their parents are working. I believe that a infant/child can grow to their best ability with a provider who treats the children in her care as her own, rather then part of a job, which happens often in centers.

   Although this is my home, it is also my  Business.

 This is not a hobby, it is my chosen career. I am a  professional Childcare Provider….   NOT  a babysitter. And, as such, I expect my clients to show respect for my home, family, and myself.  I am also a  Small Business Owner.

My door is always open to you, the parent, and please do not hesitate to come to me with comments and suggestions. I am here for your children. Your children will be treated in a respectful and caring way. They are an extension of  MY family and will be cared for as such….

My program is neither a rigidly structured school or a simple baby-setting service, I believe in free play and casual learning. At my home, physical, social, and emotional development will take place naturally. I strive in every way to make my daycare a safe, and inviting place for your child. I look forward to working with you and your family.

About Me

I am originally from the state of Maine, I moved here in the year 1990. I started my Childcare Business in 1993, I had been previously working at Marvin's for three years. Then Dave and I  got married, I decided that I didn’t want to work at Marvin's for the rest of  my life. I always wanted my own business and  I love the joys of children, so here I am……. It has been such a pleasure to watch all these children come and go (WHICH IS THE HARDEST)  I hope to stay in this business as long as I keep getting clients.

 Standards

I am a licensed provider in Roseau county and I will comply with all the standards put forth by the state of Minnesota and Roseau county, I will be licensed to provide care for 10—12 children.  I am required to take at least six hours of training in Early Child Development (This year I had 46 hours of trainings) and  training in First Aid, and CPR, and Sids  every year.  (Infants are always, back to sleep.)                              I have also been on the board of the Roseau Area Childcare Association for 7 years.

Hours of Operation

6:00a.m.  -   5:15p.m.   Monday  -  Friday

Reasonably  Full Time and Part time rates

Drop Ins   also Available  ( if I have an Opening)
