Our Lady of
Guadalupe

Our Lady
of Guadalupe fits
into Advent very well, the dark peasant women
speaks
of hope in our old, harsh and worn world. Just as when Juan Diego opened his
cloak
to display the out of season roses he brought. To the amazement of all was the
picture
of Our Lady imprinted on the inside, both were unexpected and extraordinary.
Even
more extrodenary is the birth from the Virgin Mary of the Son of God in human
form.
These
both give us reason to believe in the power and love of the Incarnation and a
reason
to
hope that those weighed down by their own sins and failures and those who are
victims
of others sins, will find in this Advent season the coming of at least a rose if
not
the
Son of God in their life.
