BRING TO THE LORD

On our spiritual journey we are give examples in Sacred Scripture on what our response to those in need should be. Today we see people bring family and friends to Jesus to be cured, not uncommon throughout scriptures. Although maybe not quit as dramatic as we read, but we also are given opportunities to bring family and friends to Christ. This act of ours can be a source of joy to both ourselves and the ones we bring.
There is a consideration and that is things usually don’t happen for us as they did for Jesus in this and other instances. To get a fuller picture we need to look further were we see God’s relationship with humankind is not always smooth and clean cut. People coming to the Lord but then turning away, returning and seeking reconciliation . The Lord welcoming them only sometimes to be lost again and so on. But always being open for ones return regardless of circumstances.
We do not normally physically bring one to the presence of the Lord, but we can bring others to the Lord’s presence by our actions in our everyday life. To help us in our efforts, we can prepare for the day by bringing to prayer and reflection the concern and desire to treat those in our presence with the same attention and care as the Lord did.
