Raymond Donarski Sr., 78

Strandquist - Raymond Donarski Sr., 78, died Sunday, February 7, 1999 at his home near Strandquist.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 11 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian. Interment will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, February 10) with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the church in Florian. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services on Thursday. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren is in charge of the arrangements.

Raymond Joseph Donarski was born on September 23, 1920 in Wright township of Marshall county, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Adamski) Donarski. Ray was baptized and confirmed at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and attended Lindstrom Country School.

On June 3, 1947 he married Antoinette Grochowski at Assumption Catholic Church. Ray was a life long resident of Wright township where he farmed.

He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, the community ASC committee, Knights of Columbus, Wright township board, Memorial Blood Bank, Polish National Alliance and Newfolden Senior Citizens. He was also a director of Marshall County Co-op.

Ray is survived by Antoinette of Argyle; three sons, Raymond Jr. of Argyle and Gary (Marilyn) and Dale (Debbie), both of Newfolden; two daughters, Patricia (Jule) Hanson and Rosalie (Cornel) Rygh, both of Warroad; 18 grandchildren; four sisters, Tess Morkassel of Ada, Mary Borowicz of Argyle, Loretta Donarski of Grand Forks, ND, and Katherine Karpen of Inver Grove Heights; three brothers, Conrad (Mary Ann) Donarski of Viking, Stanley of Thief River Falls, and Bernard of Waconba, IL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
