Bonita Kazmierczak, 55

Strandquist - Bonita Kazmierczak, 55, died Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at her home in Strandquist.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian. Interment was in Assumption Cemetery in Florian with Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren in charge of the arrangements.

Bonita Louise Schmitz was born on September 29, 1945 in Crookston, the daughter of Theodore and Leona (Hoefer) Schmitz. She grew up at rural Red Lake Falls and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and Lafayette High School. While living in the Red Lake Falls area, she was a member of St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Catholic churches.

On September 4, 1972, Bonita was united in marriage to Anthony Kazmierczak at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. The couple made their home in rural Strandquist. Later, they lived in Karlstad for a year before returning to Strandquist.

Bonita was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and the Assumption Ladies Group.

She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and especially spending time with family and friends and caring for her grandchildren.

Bonita is survived by her husband, Anthony; three sons, Jeffrey (Tanya), Phillip and Paul, all of Thief River Falls; two daughters, Juanita (Mike) Wilson of Thief River Falls and Carol (Mike) Bring of Newfolden; six grandchildren; her mother and stepfather, Leona and Palmer Bevolden of Red Lake Falls; four sisters, Veronica Kasprowicz of Stephen, Pauline (Clarence) Kuznia of Bloomington, Ruth (Richard) deNiord of Waubun and Dolores (Mark) Fraire of Olympia, Wash.; four brothers, Delbert (Eunice) Schmitz, Daniel (Mary Lou) Schmitz and Thomas Schmitz, all of Red Lake Falls, and Theodore "Ted" (Cheri) Schmitz of Minneota; two uncles and three aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister.
