Assumption-Florian Parish Bulletin, June 7,
2026
“Because there is one bread, we, who are
many, are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” (1 Corinthians 10:17)
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives and invite others to
join us. We are called to be fed and to feed others. Living a stewardship
lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts, serves a twofold
purpose. One, it helps build God’s kingdom here on earth. Two, it helps us
strengthen each other’s relationship with God and Father, Jesus, and the Holy
Spirit. It becomes our roadmap to Heaven. Let’s help each other get there!

Prayer: Lord,
through your Body and Blood, you offer me the gift of eternal life. Help me to

judgment; an if you insult a brother or sister, you
will be liable to the council; and if you say, “You fool, ‘you will be liable
to the hell of fire.” (Matthew 5:22)

Do Something
Beautiful for God – The Essential Teachings of Mother Teresa
June 5 – The
thirst of Jesus on the Cross is not imagination. “I thirst, “He said. Hear Him
saying it to you...and respond.
June 6 – I
was traveling by train to Darjeeling when I heard the voice of God. I was sure
it was God's voice. I was certain He was calling me to something more. The
message was clear.
June 7 – If
the poor die of hunger, it is not because God does not care for them. Rather,
it is because neither you nor I are generous enough. It is because we are not
instruments of love in the hands of God. We do not recognize Christ when once
again He appears to us in the hungry man, in the lonely woman, in the child who
is looking for a place to get warm.
June 8 – At
times, I feel rather sad, because we do so little. Most people praise us for
our actions, but what we do is not more than a drop of water in the ocean. It
hardly affects the immensity of human suffering.
June 9 – Some
people would advise me to change certain things. For instance, they tell me
that the sisters should have fans in the common room or in the chapel. I do not
want them to have fans. The poor whom they are to serve have no fans. The same
is true for the routine of the house. I always ask the people, “Please do not
interfere!”
June 10 – Try to put in the hearts of your children a love for home.
Make them long to be with their families. So much sin could be avoided if only
people really loved as family.
June 11 – People often ask me, “You work to bring about peace, why
don't you work to lessen war?” If we work for peace there will be fewer wars.
But I won’t mix our work with politics. War is the fruit of politics, and so I
don't involve myself, that's all. If I get stuck in politics, I will stop
loving, because I will have to stand by one, and not by all.
