ALL ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHURCH OR HALL RENTAL ARE MADE WITH THE PASTOR
OR DEACON. CONTACT THE PASTOR FOR INFORMATION ON WEDDING SPECIFICS
SUCH AS DECORATING, MUSIC, FLOWERS, ETC.
There is no charge for the use of the Assumption Church for parishioners. There is a $50.00 deposit
for use of the Church Hall by parishioners for receptions. Deacon Courtney will collect this deposit.
This will be refunded after cleanup of the hall. Contact Deacon for rental costs for non-parishoners,
as well as information on cleanup responsibilities.
WEDDING RECEPTIONS:
Serving of Meals: The wedding party must contact the Assumption Ladies President if they wish to have
the Ladies serve the meal. Specifics of what is included will be discussed at that time. If you hire the
ladies group, they will also sweep and clean the floors, and clean up the kitchen after the wedding reception,
however, it is up to the family to take down tables and chairs, and restore the hall to the original plan.
The wedding party will supply all food and pay a per plate fee for serving of the meal.
Costs: Contact Assumption Ladies President.
Catering: If the wedding party hires it’s own cooks and servers, it must also hire two of the Assumption
Parish Ladies to over see the proceedings in the kitchen. These ladies are not part of the workforce, but
merly are there to assist in locating items and answer questions. The fee for this service is $8.00 per hour,
per lady. The wedding party is responsible for clean up in the kitchen, as well as sweeping and cleaning
the floors, and putting away tables and chairs to the original plan. The Family/Caterers are also responsible for kitchen
clean-up, dishes, etc.
Table Linens are available for parishioners to use, but they must be washed and returned promptly. White
paper table covers are also available at no charge to the parishioners.
Wedding party is responsible to set up tables and chairs, and decorate as they wish, but no tape or
sticky materials may be used where it may cause damage – ie: walls, ceiling. If tape is used on the tables,
it must be removed and cleaned off. No tables or chairs may be taken from anywhere in the church other
than from the basement. You may not use any of the kitchen utensils, kettles, plates or containers for
transportation outside the church. Midnight lunches cannot be served in the church. No bird seed or rice
can by thrown inside the church, church hall or grounds.
FUNERALS:
In the event of a parishioner funeral, contact Deacon. The group leader assigned will work with the family.
The group leader will purchase the food of choice from a local grocer at the leaders discretion. If the family
requests specifics, they will be asked to purchase and deliver the food to the church for preparation. The
Ladies are responsible for preparation, serving and clean up after the funeral.
Non-Parishioners must contact Father or Deacon for arrangements. It is the family’s responsibility to provide the food and supplies and have them delivered to the church. The Ladies group will charge $1.00
per plate to serve the meal, and the same $1.00 per plate would apply if they are asked to serve the Wake.
BRIDAL SHOWERS, BABY SHOWERS, and ANNIVERSARIES:
The use of the Church Hall is free for use by members of Assumption Church for these activities. The
parties are responsible to set up tables and chairs, decorate, and after – clean up the kitchen, put away
tables and chairs, and sweep and clean the floors. For these events, plates, cups, and utensils are not
supplied by the church.
