Spring Carnival - On Saturday, April 5th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., St. John Lutheran School will hold its Spring Carnival in the school gymnasium. Bring your families and friends! This event is for everyone in the community. Test your skills at games like Norwegian Golf or Pin Drop. Try your luck at Plinko, Spin to Win, or the Fishing Pond. Like sports? Try Slapshot, Basketball Shoot, or attempt to score a Soccer Goal past the pastor. Sit for a facepainting, or enjoy some popcorn and other refreshments. Lunch will also be served. This event has something for everyone. Spread the word and bring a friend.
Monthly School Supper - On Thursday, April 17th, parents, teachers, and volunteers will be putting on the next school supper. April's menu includes ham, potatoes, vegetables, a dinner roll, and a choice of desserts. The meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of St. John Lutheran Church, 101 Pine Avenue South, in Thief River Falls. A free-will offering will be received, with all proceeds going toward the school.
Silent Auction - The same night as the monthly supper (Thursday, April 17th), the school will be putting on a silent auction there in the fellowship hall. Donations from various local businesses will be on display and up for bids. Everyone is invited to walk around the display tables before or after eating, looking at the items and writing down bids for anything desired. Compete with your friends and neighbors in making bids for your favorite items! Around 6:30 p.m., bidding will be closed. The highest bidders for each item will then be announced. At that point, the winning bidders will need to pay for each of their items, or forfeit it to the next highest bidder. Come and enjoy the fun, and help support the school through this spring fundraiser.

As a former graduate myself, this school made a positive difference in my life. I'm thankful to the Lord that my son attended St. John Lutheran School from preschool to fifth grade. I like the smaller school where my son got the help he needed in certain subjects in addition to learning about Jesus. This has given him a good foundation and he has grown in Christ. St. John Lutheran School is a blessing to the community. -- Audrey Halvorson

My son enjoys preschool so much, he doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. St. John School means a lot to Seth. He likes the fact that he goes to school like the big kids. We like the fact that he is learning about God and how to interact with his peers. Our main reason for sending him was for socialization and the academics were an added bonus. -- Kelley Zuch
We are thankful our daughter had the privilege of attending a Christian school, from preschool age through ninth grade. Though the school was small in size, she received an excellent education and foundation for life. She has thanked us many times for providing her with an education based upon God's Word.
