Purpose:

The Wetlands, Pines and Prairie Audubon Sanctuary is an environmental education center for people with a wide range of interests. From school children discovering the many wonders of nature, through adults learning how to recapture that youthful curiosity, the Sanctuary provides the opportunity to learn and grow in environmental awareness.

Agassiz Audubon Society, a Minnesota Chapter of the National Audubon Society, operates the Sanctuary. The sanctuary provides a base of operation, which allows Agassiz Audubon to maintain a permanent headquarters and to provide regional programming.
